It's not that I think life is particularly sad. More that life, for the most part, is both happy and sad, all at the same time. I think melancholic is the perfect word.

Have you ever noticed that, even when you are witnessing something beautiful, something that fills you with awe and wonder, you somehow feel sad at the same time. It's almost as if the beautiful things in life are so very beautiful, that they cause you pain.

Life is a long, never ending dichotomy. In itself, it seems to be the very meaning of duality. You've all heard the sermons about how God or Jesus are three things in one: father, son AND holy spirit? Well, even if you don't believe in any of that, the concept of many things in one holds true.

When you feel so tired, but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse

When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone, but it goes to waste
Could it be worse?
