I saw the letter sitting on the desk. It looked important and the cursive handwriting seemed familiar.

"Regz, you're in a computer game."

The walls cracked around me as the realisation hit home. Weapons statistics flickered, half glanced in the corner of my eye. Time slowed down, showing off my moves. The paranoid feeling grew that I was being controlled by an unseen force.

As funny as it seemed, it was the most horrible thing I could think of.
