And sometimes you remember the things that make life worth living. You find yourself with just enough time to stop and draw breath. And in that instant, you remember a birthday party when you were twelve, and all you had to worry about was that your parents would be picking you up soon. Then you make a connection to a friend whom you haven't spoken to for some time, who you used to be in a band with at high school. And that leads you to an autumn evening when you realised what you were born to do. And somewhere in your chest you feel something more substantial than anything tangible you've ever come across. I wish that I knew what I know now, when I was younger.
